Key achievements
-
I design digital infrastructure and ecosystems that connect all stakeholders in the supply chain—makers, brands, buyers, institutions—in ways that are balanced, equitable, transparent and built for interconnection. It's about creating frameworks where technology serves real connection, and where every player has a seat at the table.
** Accomplishments**
- Part of the founding team that launched Powered By People Marketplace. I led the onboarding program and grew the supply side in Latin America (160+ brands, over 1800 pipeline) for major retailers including West Elm, Williams Sonoma, Banana Republic, and Liberty UK.
- Developed and launched PBP Maker Community + Learning Hub (a bilingual digital learning platform for makers helping them expand their skills and businesses).
-
I partner with brands, retailers, and global marketplaces like Powered by People to develop products and build ethical, sustainable sourcing relationships. From due diligence to production, I ensure processes honor both craft integrity and sustainability. I'll be launching custom sourcing trips for designers and craft enthusiasts who want to connect deeply with the practice, the makers, the culture and the stories behind what they create.
**Achievements**
- Launched and grew Atelier Iken, an artisanal brand/ social enterprise, made in Guatemala, featured in the Innovation Hub at NY now, with stockists such as The Art Institute of Chicago.
- Developped ethical artisan partnerships in Mexico and Guatemala to create sample collection for luxury clients.
- Built the ethical supply chain across Latin America, onboarding 160+ artisan businesses for Powered by People B2B Marketplace and identified a pipeline of over 1800 businesses.
-
I lead impact programs globally that build digital tools and democratize learning and access, connecting stakeholders in genuinely inclusive ways. From launching bilingual learning hubs to piloting AI-driven solutions that help makers get discovered and grow their businesses, this work is about creating conditions for makers to participate fully—and profit equitably—in the systems that shape their livelihoods.
** Achievements**
- Directed $6M+ in global impact initiatives with Mastercard Foundation, Unilever/FCDO UK, EY Consulting, and Gates Foundation.
- Piloted AI-driven digitization solutions in Kenya, including profile creation tools that improved artisan discoverability and sales. -Launched the Conectartesanos.com digital learning program on market access in Colombia (featured at COP16, 2024). - Co-organized Kenya's first international artisan trade show, Artisan Soko in Nairobi - connecting 40 businesses with global buyers.
-
I lead field workshops, speak at international events, and contribute to key exhibitions (COP16, Cali 2024). Through my Substack, I explore craft economies and uncover the stories behind the brands and products we encounter. My motivation is transparency—bringing light to how things actually work, and inviting others to see craft, trade, and value differently.
**Achievements**
- Editorial features & reviews published in Selvedge Magazine.
- Guest Speaker: New World Crafts, Guatemala, Adinkra International Arts and Crafts show, Ghana and Escuela de Artes y Oficios Santo Domingo, Colombia.
